We are the Giving Circle, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization led entirely by volunteers. We do not ask for compensation so that ALL of the money we raise can go directly to the people who need it.
We do not enter communities with an agenda – we learn from the community what is most urgently needed and we work with them to make it a reality. We build lasting relationships with the people we support. They become part of our circle, part of our family. Some of our work has been going on for over a decade in the same communities – we learn and grow with them, and there is always more to give!
This will be the Giving Circle’s first journey into Afghanistan! Our roots go back to the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, and since then we have expanded our circle as far as Uganda. We are so happy to give our support to a rural village in a country where violence and oppression for too long have been seen as problems only military force can solve. Join us in showing the world there is another way.
